Question #1.

«"How long will it take to tint my vehicle?"»

The process should take anywhere between 45 minutes to a few hours depending on the number of windows, obstacles, glass curvature, etc. There is no set time for an installation. Each job is unique in it's own way. Servicing a four door vehicle may take up to 3 hours or less. SOMD Sun Control will not rush any job because quality takes time. This is one reason the "Porta-Shop" works so well. The shop is transported to your location at work or home. NO waiting in line behind other customers at an over crowded shop or No-Show employees. That's just a waste of your time.

We install the absolute best tint available, and deliver convenience too! We've learned over the years that folks don't like to be inconvenienced by dropping off their vehicle and waiting. That's no longer an issue. PROBLEM SOLVED!

«I'm a Stay At Home Mom. I could not be without my Range Rover for any period of time to wait for my tint to get done. My tint was installed without interruption to my day or my babie's sleep schedule. The result is very nice to say the least. The convenience was priceless! Thank you!»

Question #2.

«"How long is the warranty, and what does it cover?"»

Everybody's answer is ALWAYS "Lifetime." Ask: "How many years is that exactly?" If you keep your vehicle for 10, 15 or 20 years, does that apply? Get it in writing if that claim is made. Nevertheless, your tint should last for as long as you own your vehicle. The average is around 6 - 8 years. A warranty should cover fading (turning purple), bubbling (adheasive failure or tint material layer delamination), cracking, flaking or peeling. Warranties won't cover improper maintenance or abuse. Proper maintenance instructions should always come with your completed tint job.

Question #3.

«"If you aren't in business when I need a warranty repair, who will service my warranty then?"»

The answer is obviously the manufacturer. But, make sure you get a Warranty Registration Form with the installers business name, tint manufacturer name, serial or lot number off of the roll that the tint came from, the installers name, the tint name and what you paid for the tint job. KEEP YOUR RECEIPT with the Warranry Form! This will allow you to file a warranty claim if it's ever needed. A reputable tint installer will provide the Warranty Form without you having to ask for it. That's just Good Business anyway...

Question #4.
«"Which Window Tint Is Right For Me?"»
You can't get a hair cut over the phone, and you certainly can't choose the right tint over the phone either. Being able to SEE & FEEL the performances of different tint choices, and comparing the prices, is best done in person. You can discuss the prices over the phone, but only you can decide how much you are willing to spend for what will meet your needs.

You have to decide if you are going to have your vehicle for a few, or many years. You also need to decide if you want just Looks, or Looks and Performance. Finally, decide on Performance Type - High or Ultra Performance are the two choices over Carbon Tint . These options have a price difference that covers the difference in the actual cost of the materials. The Ceramic IR98 tint is the most expensive to buy and install. The Ceramic IR98 is the best you can buy. And you've heard it before, you get what you pay for.

Making a decision on what tint to install is really very easy. All you need to decide on is the Level Of Performance and Price you are willing to pay to get it. It's really that simple! SOMD Sun Control offers 3 different performance levels that are all affordable. We aren't in the business of selling window tint, we are in the business of Informing You about it. The tint sells itself. No high pressure... ever!

Question #5.

«"How Long Have You Been Installing Window Tint?"»

A minimum of 5 years is suggested to perfect this craft. The learning curve can be long and slow. Remember, this is an art, not "Wax On Wax Off!" Also, if an installer doesn't average over 50 vehicles per year, the Skill Sets May Be Running Thin.

We love what we do at SOMD Sun Control. We look forward to each new job with enthusiasm. We also like to see the joy in a new customer's face when he or she first sees the end result. Some installers only view this as another boring job to earn a paycheck. We enjoy all aspects of this Unique Trade, and it shows!

We enjoy knowing that our customers got a good deal, a quality installation, and won't be dissatisfied in the future as a result from poor quality materials. We got you covered!
No more OOPS!
