We have extensive experience with Auto Dealership Aftermarket Departments. Quality isn't cheap, but it also doesn't have to cost a fortune either. You can get a good quality job from a dealership, but that only depends on the installer doing the work, AND the material quality used. Almost always, it's the cheap dyed basic tint materials. As a sub-contractor, we only use the top quality Nano-Carbon Tint - and it's expensive!

An hourly paid dealership employee won't take the same pride in their work as an independant business owner will. Besides, do you really want someone with little to no experience learning how to window tint on your brand new expensive vehicle? If the dealership has contracted a reputable tint shop to install the window tint into your new vehicle, your tint should look just fine. BUT, the only remaining "Fly In The Ointment" is the amount of money you'll be overcharged.

«Thankfully I didn't get my windows tinted at the dealership when I bought my new Scion Xb. I was able to get the Ceramic IR98 Tint for less than what the Dealership was going to charge for a basic grade tint product! I'm so glad I went to the SOMD Sun Control Web Site after I saw their van on the road. I saved over $100! And, I got the best tint available. The IR98 Ceramic.»

If a dealership decides to participate in an "In House" tinting program, quality control becomes an impossible task. CSI is VERY important to dealerships. This is why some dealerships will soon abandon an "In House" tint program and return to contracting it to a qualified professional tint shop.

  • Nano-Ceramic IR98 Ultra-Performance Tint

Quality and Consistency are the two most important ingredients for a tint job to look awesome. Cheap dealership employee labor can't deliver the quality results a professional window tint installer can.

Ambitious profit driven dealerships soon learn that window tinting is a complicated "Art." It's not like detailing or an oil change! It takes talent and loads of experience to deliver results any customer would be happy with.

An expensive new vehicle deserves the best quality workmanship and tint materials available. Dealerships who take the "In House" route soon learn that the wheel cannot be "Reinvented." Why gamble with odds like those?

This is not to say that all dealeship installed tint isn't good. If it's done by an experienced professional installer, it'll look good. But, what about the quality of the tint being used? Chances are very high that it's an inexpensive economy tint.

Dealerships like to keep as much of the tint sale profit as possible. They're in business to make money, and that's fine. But, at the end of it all, how much do you want to spend for what you are going to get?

Now you have a decision to make... Dealer, or No Dealer?
