Dark window tint is no longer a valid excuse for heat reduction. It actually has a reverse effect on heat! Old technology window films can only absorb a limited amount of the Sun's IR Heat before it's reradiated into your vehicle interior. This fact is very prevalent in today's late model trucks and SUVs with Factory Installed Tinted Windows.
